Penniesforpuppiesandponies.org is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting in the financial support of the police and service dogs and police horses of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. This support includes but is not limited to supplying funding for new dogs, food, equipment, veterinary support, etc.
Created in November 1996 by Marysville resident Carole Flynn White, “Pennies for Puppies” was met with immediate success through the generosity of Snohomish County citizens and businesses. By 2003 the organization had grown to include the Search and Rescue service dogs as well as sheriff’s office Mounted Patrol Unit, and was renamed “Pennies for Puppies and Ponies” to better reflect its mission.
