Deputy Kenneth Shefveland was named the 2007 Reserve Deputy of the Year at the annual Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office awards events on October 23rd, 2007. Shefveland, a member of the sheriff’s office Mounted Patrol Unit, also received the Meritorious Service Medal in recognition for his efforts.

Snohomish County Sheriff Rick Bart awarded the Mounted Patrol Unit the Office’s Letter of Commendation at the sheriff’s annual awards event on October, 23rd, 2007. Receiving this special recognition were Lt. Robert Beidler, Sgt. Anthony Aston, Det. Barbara Taylor, Dep. Kenneth Shefveland and Dep. Kurt McGowan.
